The U.S. Pizza Museum is holding a pizza box art contest at Paulie Gee’s Logan Square on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. Two winners will be chosen that night to each receive a free pair of passes to the sold out 3rd Annual Chicago Pizza Summit, taking place Sunday, April 22 at Thalia Hall in Chicago, where the entries will be displayed in an interactive exhibit. Additional prizes will be provided by Galerie F.

Aspiring artists will be given a multifunctional GreenBox pizza box to customize with their own drawing or design when they arrive at Paulie Gee’s on April 4. For inspiration, they can look to the items on display in the U.S. Pizza Museum collection installation, on exhibit at Paulie Gee’s Logan Square since November 2016.

The first ten entries will also get a certificate for 50% off any single pizza. Up to the next 240 entries will get a certificate for 25% off any single pizza. Certificates can be used same night or during a future visit. One certificate per party. Does not expire.

“Pizzerias can only survive through the patronage and support of their customers and I’m looking forward to seeing how people choose to express their love for pizza, using a pizza box as their canvas,” says U.S. Pizza Museum Founder and Director, Kendall Bruns. “I support GreenBox’s mission to create a more environmentally friendly solution for how to enjoy your pizza and save your leftovers, so using them for this event was a natural fit.”

The collected pizza box art will be on display at the 3rd Annual Chicago Pizza Summit on Sunday, April 22at Thalia Hall. Attendees of the Pizza Summit will also be able to create pizza box art at that event.
